BEYOND THE BOOKING

The Questions I Ask
That Google Never Will

Most people start planning a trip by asking Google what to do, but the truth is that the most important questions never show up in a search bar. The questions that actually shape a trip — the ones that tell me who you are, what you’re craving, and what you need right now — those only come from real conversation. Before I ever talk about destinations or hotels, I’m paying attention to the human details that quietly determine whether a trip feels aligned or overwhelming. These are the questions Google will never ask you… but I always will.

Because Google can tell you what’s popular.

It can’t tell you what’s personal.

It doesn’t know the season of life you’re in — whether you’re exhausted, celebrating, healing, or simply trying to feel like yourself again. It doesn’t know your energy, your pace, or the kind of environment that helps you breathe a little deeper. And that matters. A “busy” trip can feel magical when you’re energized… and suffocating when you’re not.

It doesn’t know your energy or your pace.

Google will happily give you a list of “Top 10 Things To Do,” but it won’t ask whether you actually want ten things to do. It won’t ask if you prefer slow mornings, open wandering, or days with one meaningful anchor instead of a packed schedule. It won’t ask whether you recharge through movement or stillness.

It doesn’t know what drains you.

Maybe crowds make you anxious. Maybe long transfers wipe you out. Maybe you hate feeling rushed, or you shut down when there are too many decisions to make. These things matter more than any “must‑see” attraction.

It doesn’t know what comforts help you feel grounded.

Some people need natural light in their room.

Some need walkability.

Some need quiet.

Some need a certain level of service to feel safe and held.

Some need familiar food options nearby.

These aren’t luxuries — they’re anchors.

It doesn’t know the story you want this trip to tell.

Are you closing a chapter?

Opening one?

Trying to reconnect?

Trying to reset?

Trying to celebrate something quietly?

Trying to remember who you are outside of your routine?

Google doesn’t ask those questions.

But I do — because they’re the ones that actually build the trip.

When I’m planning for you, I’m not just choosing a destination. I’m choosing the version of you that’s going on this trip. I’m choosing the pace that won’t overwhelm you. The environment that will meet you where you are. The details that will help you breathe deeper, sleep better, and come home feeling like something inside you shifted — even if just a little.

That’s the part algorithms can’t do.

They can give you options.

But they can’t understand you.

And that’s why the best trips don’t start with search results.

They start with the right questions — the human ones.

Whenever you’re ready for a trip shaped with intention and built around the way you move through the world, my inquiry form is where we begin the conversation.

Here’s to the conversations that shape the journey,
